Is Herman Brusselmans gay?
I know the actor in the original version is but how about Herman himself?
shareI know the actor in the original version is but how about Herman himself?
shareI don't think so, he is married and his books are a bit, how shall I put it...NOT gay.
And I don't think the actor in the orriginal was gay either, he did a fine job and didn't seem gay to me.
But I know a guy that worked on the first one and he told me he tought the guy playing Van Dorpe was definately gay
Ow yeah Van Dorpe was definitily gay!
shareDefinately, 1000%, it's funny, the guys who played the gay characters didn't seem very gay to me, but Van Dorpe...
shareBrusselmans himself is not gay, he is known for his anti-feminist quotes en macho talk in interviews. Lots of the main characters in his books are also very homophobic so he isn't gay, that's for sure. He's also married to a woman.
shareHey Thomas De Soete, you the real one ? ;-)
Best quote from Brusselmans about gays :
"I got nothing against gays, as long as they keep their hands of my woman."
What a stupid remark. "his characters are very homophobic, so he isn't gay"???!!!
shareif you look at history,,,the persons who declair their hate for gays openly and keep on doing it on a ongoing proses are mostly gay themself. Sort of a self protective system. If his gay, or bi,,who cares. Maybe himself thats all.
sharethat is just a really dumb question... I'm sorry to say that... But you know if you read his books you'll understand it...
It was obviously a joke...
shareyeah?
Well whatever I think the movie (I'm talking about the new one now) was awesome! I really enjoyed it... But when you said the actor playing Van Dorpe was gay... did you mean Van Dorpe in the old version or this one?
Brusselmans is wel eventjes de beste beffer van vlaanderen.
