Why was he upside down?

the bald guy of the band (don remember the name) who likes to beat women...why is he shown upside down whenever hes in his apartment? what is the explanation of this metaphor? i think i missed out. any help? and also any other symbolic things shown in the movie?

my guess is that it reflected his psych. The world thru his mind's eye was upside down. He was my favorite character. He was portrayed in a way that was negitive but also created the sense that he didnt have any control. The upside down was also just cool looking, which in Ex Drummer seemed to be an important thing.

May as well ask why a lot of the film was in reverse. Just looks cool, I guess. Or stupid, depending on your point of view.

I'm sure merkonfire is right - showing him upside-down reinforces just how totally out of synch he is with the rest of the world. His world view is completely skewed relative to everyone else. It's a very simple but powerful effect.

Every time I run into a person with extreme right wing/mysogynist views from now on I'm going to picture them in my mind's eye upside down like this nutter.

the obvious symbolism is that it was vampire imagery - he was like a bat hanging upside down - it was hinted and said at several times in the film that he drank the blood of women....it also added to the surreal fantasy feel of many scenes
