From the looks of the cover, I first thought it was

A Predator prequel, after watching it, I was really disappointed. I am sure 90% of people thought the same thing at first. The cover with the alpha male looks exactly like Predator. Dreads, Mask, weapons, etc. Plus there being Lance Henriksen also made it seem like it was going to be a prequel of maybe predators on the earth trying to colonize.

The idea for the movie was good, but what ruined it was that it was practically a plagiarization of Predator, Decent, Dagon(the boat breaking and all), and somewhat of a plot of Turistas(murder on beach). Nothing was innovated and mostly everything imitated. Truly a dissapointment. What is your point of view?

My point of view is that there are precious few original ideas left in Hollywood. And if you look hard enough (which you shouldn't...you should just sit back and try to enjoy the ride), you'll find influences (or even outright theft) in just about every movie from something that has come before it.
