Thinking of buying this movie? Don't bother.
I really wanted to like this. The weird cover art....the title! Just to be able to say "check out my favourite movie, SLAUGHTERED VOMIT DOLLS"
But it didn't shock me. It didn't scare me. It didn't mildly amuse me.
I'm sad to say it was boring. It wasn't particularly gory or violent. And not nearly as disturbing as it's made out to be.
The semi-narrative didn't quite hold it together for me. I was expecting a more traditional approach to horror, but what we have here is a strange transition of images set to ambient noise and screeches, interspersed with a girl speaking into the camera regarding how she's feeling. Random 'grim reality' full frontal nudity. Long drawn out scenes without dialogue or action. I felt like i was staring at a blank screen. If you've seen August Underground Mordum - imagine that without as much characterization.
The gore wasn't as "bad" as anything you'd see in the latest Hollywood horror output. From a "Gorehound" perspective, there were probably only a few seconds that impressed me (-when the guitar girl was writhing on the ground) but the rest was all fuzzy and shakey to a point where i'm not sure if a certain scene involved a drillbit or a spoon?
If you're after this for the "VOMIT GORE"(tm), then theres enough to get off the average emetophile. A guy drinking his own puke and puking it again. Lots of vommitting into toilets....etc....boring....
I think this would've been better if all the real meat of the film was condensed into a 15 minute short. Theres so much filler.
Anyway, i commend Lucifer Valentine for thinking up the title, as well as his pseudonim.
