SVD is on ondemand right now...

I was thinking about watching this ondemand sometime this week, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. I watched August Underground a couple weeks back and thought it was decent for what it was. I would actually like to view the sequels at some point too. I also enjoyed the guinea pig series, and thought every single one of those films were better than AU. The only reason I’m mentioning AU is because I’ve heard this film compared to it. Anyway, would this movie be worth the $5 to order it ondemand?

If you've seen August Underground, and you're actually considering seeing the sequels, then you might as well check out SVD. Just keep in mind, whatever you've heard about this movie, it's all true. This one puts them all to shame. And yes, it's also way too incoherent, not nearly enough dialog, and aside from the disgustingly morbid scenes of gore, vomit and cruelty, things can get pretty boring. But 5 bucks, you say? I say go for it.

Ok, so I finally caved in and ordered it.

This movie was pretty f'ed up, but August Underground was worse. There were parts of this movie that I kind of enjoyed and parts that really annoyed me. Overall I'd say this movie was pretty awful. Definitely not worth the $5 I paid to watch this. I think if I'm ever so bored that I decide to watch the sequels, I'll just torrent them off the internet.

I should also mention to anyone else that reads this and is curious to watch the film that the movie really isn't worth it. It's been way over hyped. The film is basically the trailer except it's 71min long. If you want to see something sick check out. Guinea Pig 2: Flowers of Flesh and Blood. <- way more hardcore than anything this movie had to offer.
