Stupid tagline...

Has anybody seen the posters for this? It's available on the internet. The tagline's pretty damn stupid: "Based upon true rumors" or something idiotic like that. I dread to think what else they thought up.

"Based upon actual water cooler conversation".
"Based upon things people and their pets told me".

Anybody else want to come up with something? Could keep this going on for a while.

Other than that, looking forward to the movie. Not so much because of the director, his last film was crap but the cast should at least make something good happen.

theres actually a reason that the tagline says "based on true rumors"!!
its a true story, but some of the families and the people involved in the incident have not totally achknowledged the way the events unfolded and refuse to talk about it. thus, in order to prevent the production company (white feather) from getting sued by anyone by saying that it was based on a true story, they had to come up with something like that.
the incident had a great impact on the people in bombay, especially on those who were involved and their families. so the punchline has an unbiased and diplomatic function!!
so THATS why the punch line is what it is...!

the actual punchline though, if you look closely is "what everyone saw was real.. what no one saw was the truth". and once you watch the movie (hopefully), you will understand what that means!

"what everyone saw was real.. what no one saw was the truth"

that is an awesome tagline...still think based on true rumors sounds a bit silly though.
