Different ending

going into the movie, as i started to understand what it was to be about, i thought of an ending that would make the movie extremely powerful in conveying its message (albeit slightly different in essence): the idea that it would end exactly before the gun action, leaving the viewer to feel ashamed for what he was hoping to experience as entertainment.

less exciting and entertaining - probably, but do you think it would be more effective?

No

What about this: The first five chambers are empty, leaving the last contestant with the knowledge that he/she can't win. That would have been even worse...

If God was a villain.... he'd be me.

I've been thinking about that. In that case they couldn't have forced someone. I imagine if that happend, they could give all 6 5 million each

I think it would be more likely that the last person wouldn't get any money, but wouldn't have to shoot him/herself. But it would be kinda *beep* up if the producers said: "The people have tuned in to see someone die, and by God it's going to happen"

If God was a villain.... he'd be me.

While watching I thought that if Brad didn't die, that Rick would've refused to do it. He would then later be murdered by someone upset about the outcome of the show (no death).

I thought that when it came down to Brad and Rick, Rick's name was going to be chosen, and the bullet would kill him.

That way, they were showing the moral decline of America that would allow for such a gameshow, by killing the quintessential American contestant.
