Just finally decided to watch this movie on cable. Firstly, unbelievable (but not really), secondly you would statistically not take the sixth shot because you simply wouldn't survive. Period. Not if you have a six-shooter and the first five don't go off, the sixth will.

It would've been more believable if the rules stated that if they got through the first five, then all six would win.

Nobody (unless they had a death-wish, which is certainly possible*) would take the 6th shot if the previous five were blanks.

* Another interesting thought: What better way to commit suicide than to make yourself famous for "sacrificing" for your family in the hopes of getting $5M? If you truly wanted to kill yourself, you'd win either way.

They dont spin the cylinder after each shot? If not, who the hell would even want to go after the first person?

Interesting point. Maybe what would happen is the first five get the checks and the sixth guy either goes home or gets another chance on the next show.
