Absolutely Wonderful Movie !!!!!!!!!!!!

1) NO Swearing
2) NO nudity or gratuitous sex
3) NO gory violence with gushing blood
4) NO disturbing psychological sexual, violent, themes

The story had some minor plot holes and inconsistencies but I was riveted from beginning to end. Cadi was indescribably great as a young innocent girl who needed help. How many of you felt like you would want a child like that of your own ??

It does not matter what religion you are and I do not think that the story was purposely bent to preach from one denomination. The message at the very end of the movie is clear for all people,

"I discovered that I did not need her at all, I only needed GOD" This is not the god that so many of you uselessly banter around as a deity tied to one religion, but GOD, the Creator and Lord of us all.

Indeed, this is an absolutely wonderful movie, one that people should place on their "must see" list.

This is a film that deserves more positive responces that it seems to have gotten. Bravo to Michael Landon Jr. for creating this film and for carrying on wher his father left off!!

I've not seen this movie but based on what you all just said I will most likely be renting it this weekend!! I am a Christian. It really saddens me to see people who have so much hate towards us and our God and our beliefs. I'm thankful there are people like Michael Landon Jr. so willing to make movies like these. To share Christ in such a way. God gave us the freedom to live, act, believe what we want. I just pray that everyone see's the Jesus is the only way.

Matthew 5:10-12

10 God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
11 “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you[a] and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

I love this movie! I watched it last night with my grandparents thinking that it was going to be really boring, but then it just got amazing really fast! I loved it and I loved the message! I am going to show it to my youth pastor and see if we can have a movie night at my church sometime! I also plan on reading the book with my best friend who I know is going to love it too!

Ahem... What about the disturbing violence where an entire village was murdered in cold blood?

I found it not only disturbing but the fact that it was covered up (as if it was a minor offense that could be forgotten) was also disturbing. The whole cove was founded on cold blooded murder over land. The settlers should have moved on and found their own land instead of resorting to murder in order to steal it. Inexcusable.

I want to see it something fierce, I just read the book and it's one of my all time favorites now. I'm so glad someone realized it would make an amazing movie!

There were some who didn't like what happened like Louise Fletcher's character. It was even implied that Fagan's grandfather felt very guilty at the end of his life, and that was why he wanted a sin-eater to be appointed. During that scene they brought out these horrible secrets with the idea that the people of the village should know what had happend, but also with the idea that these secrets should be buried. Everyone knew the truth so they should take away with them remorse but also move on with life.

That was one frustrating part for me. He kills in cold blood, then helps hide the truth of the deed. Only at the time of dying with his 'eternal soul' is at risk of not 'getting into heaven' does he seek a soul eater. This just felt like a hollow and self serving act.

I just watched The Last Sin Eater this evening and I thought it was an awesome movie. Very well acted and I loved the little girl, Cadi to pieces!

I couldn't stop crying at the end of the movie it moved me so much! It just shows that we need some type of faith in our lives. I am not a religious person, but, I was really glad I watched this movie regardless of some of the negative posts on here.
