Historically Inaccurate

The practice of sin-eating was performed by Welsh Christians, whereas the film suggests that the Welsh people there don't know about Jesus and that sin-eating is an "ancient Celtic ritual." It may have had ancient Celtic roots, but the communities that practiced it in recent centuries were certainly Christian.
It's a generally scathing portrayal of Welsh people, too - as angry, superstitious people who need an outsider to bring peace and, of course, Christianity.

Not to mention that accents are terrible - definitely not Welsh (besides the man who plays the sin-eater, since he is a Welsh actor).
