Lilybet + Cadi

Lilybet had her own name for Cadi, but I never could quite fully catch what it was. Can anyone help me?

It sounded like Katrina Elise... maybe Cadi was short for Katrina? Perhaps using her full Christian name?
Great movie!

I was pretty sure it was Katrina something, but I never could quite catch what the second part was. Thanks for your help.

i was thinking the same thing. it did sound like "Katrina Elise"

reply

it was Katrina Anise

reply

I thought the same. It seems only proper an angelic being would only refer to someone by their Christian name.

reply

In the book it was Katrina Anice.

Okay, thanks!

It almost always sounded like she was saying "Catrin ____." I'm not sure what her middle name was (Anise? Enis?), but Catrin is a Welsh name, and I'm pretty sure that's what Cadi was short for.

there's a book?
written by whom?

reply

This movie was actually based on a book. It's called 'The Last Sin Eater' (duh) and is written by Francine Rivers, one of my favorite authors. It's a really good book, I enjoyed it a lot.

Catrine Anise, is what I thought it was. Beautiful name, especially the way Lilybet was saying it. I also like the name, Lilybet. :)

Who exactly was Lilybet?
I know at the end, Cadi's mum called her a little bit of heaven and then the narrator (cadi) said that that sounded like "lilybet" but I"m still quite confused about who lilybet was.
Was she cadi? In a smaller, blonder haired form?

reply

Lilybet was an angel sent to Cadi, which is why only Cadi could see her. The name Lilybet was used because Cadi's mom had always called Cadi her lil bit of heaven. I've always viewed that as God's special touch to Cadi, to let her know he loves her.

I figure if God could rename Abram to Abraham, and Jacob to Israel, then he just might have new names to call us whenever we go home to him, so why not have the angel, Lilybet, call Cadi by the name God calls her?

reply

The book's by Francine Rivers.
It's really good, although I would REALLY recommend "Redeeming Love." It was probably one of the best books I've ever read, by Francine Rivers..
:)

reply

I fully agree with you. Redeeming Love was the first book by Francine Rivers I read, and it touched me in ways I fully didn't expect!! An incredible book about God's love for us.
