liked it

A lot of folks here hated it but, I enjoyed it. I know alot of the stuff in here has been done before...(I turned to my wife and said "when she closes the medicine cabinet, something is going to be in the mirror".) It also borrowed camera angles of the house from the 60s version of "The Haunting" (actually made me wonder if it was the same place!" I still enjoyed it though. I like a film where the good wins over evil...

I enjoyed it as well, definitely doesn't deserve some of the hatred. It was certainly not what I was expecting at all given the Anthony Hilcox movies I was familiar with. He did a great job on his end however, and aside from issues with the acting I thought it was all around solid. The visuals with the tree in particular I thought had a bit of a Del Toro/Pan's Labyrinth quality to it that I would have liked to see more of.

The story wasn't even half bad, as it was presented in a way that it would be a matter of shear guesswork to connect everything properly until the end. You knew characters would play a role(constant focus on the ring for example) but not exactly how they'd fit in when all was said and done.

Unfortunately I do agree with those who blast the acting, particularly of the leads. It was... bad. Very bad.

This is one of those movies where there is that instanteous-just-finished-watching outpouring of criticism on imdb, but at the end of the day there is a lot worse out there and those who proclaim the usual "worst movie ever" type statements have either short memories or simply haven't seen that many films. Knife Edge is a solid middle of the pack film, and people should remember that not everything can or should be a 10/10 5 star masterpiece of cinema or else it makes the true masterworks meaningless.
