Illogical

I'm only about 30 minutes into the film, but so far there are lots of illogical moments. It makes me wonder if I'm not wasting my time watching it.

When they first arrive at the house, the girl looks so uneasy and completely unaware of why they are there...can she really not guess that this is her new home?

Then she and her hubby go into the house, after telling the kid to stay put. As soon as they turn their backs, the kid takes off and doesn't reappear until the surprise party is on...wtf? Who lets a five year old kid run around on his own like that?? Why didn't their driver stop the kid? And what happened to the driver anyway? Did he even collect his fare?

The way the wife discovers the party is weird too. Her hubby left her, saying he was gonna get the kid. When she misses him, does she look outside, that is, where hubby should have gone to get the boy? No, she wanders the house until she stumbles upon the party scene, go figure!

Then her own sister is totally not happy to see her (???) and someone how the kid, who arrived on the scene literally 10 seconds prior, is able to announce that he's going to be a brother (???) then the arrival of the nanny sends the wife into a shuddering spasm (???)

Is this worth continuing??
