the inside and outside could not have been the same house.

One thing that I was thinking of the whole time was the fact that from the outside the house looked like it was ungodly wide. But in the inside scenes, the second floor is one hallway with a couple of rooms on both ends. Based on the outside the 2nd floor had to be 3 maybe 4 times that length. hell what they showed from the third floor alone looked longer or bigger than the second floor. Just something that irked me, that from the outside the house was clearly one where you could get lost, but the inside scenes made it feel much smaller.

You're right that the inside and outside don't seem to match; I'm not sure where the outside shots are from, but they look nothing like the real manor where the inside shots were taken (Hammerwood Park). CGI maybe? We might reconcile this by remembering that large old houses were often divided into wings, and we might be shown only a portion of any given floor.

What's really ridiculous though is that when Henri was buying the place, neither he nor the realtor questioned how an entire floor was missing (which turned out to be Tobias' room).

All the interiors were bad sets. The bathroom looked ridiculous.
