I love red letter medias review of this

Perfection. Thats exactly what this movie is: a scam. A movie not for people of films but only to pay everyone in the film more than what they actually deserve. Disgusting

The 2 part Half in the Bag review was just so spot-on.

I got dragged to see Jack and Jill against my better instincts (I had given up on Sandler after Mr.Deeds), and even with my expectations set very low Jack and Jill was just abysmal.

I thought Sandler was mildly amusing on SNL, and I liked Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, The Waterboy and The Wedding Singer. I even bought Sandler's 2 comedy cds in the 1990s and got a chuckle out of them. I dunno if it was because I was in my 20s in the 1990s (when all those other Sandler things I mentioned above were released) that I liked Sandler's stuff back then, but by the time Jack and Jill rolled into theaters I was already past 40 years old. And I'm not a complete moron...so maybe that puts me outside Sandler's targeted demographic.

Red Letter Media just nailed it. Jack And Jill was lazy, unfunny, uninspired, looked like it was cheaply made - this thing literally cost 80 million to make? how is that even possible?!? - and the product placement was so whorish the plot literally centered around a Dunkin' Donuts ad campaign and there was what amounted to a several minute virtual cruise line commercial when the plot put the characters onboard it.

I got the same feeling from Jack and Jill that I got from the POS flick Paul Blart Mall Cop. When I saw the trailer for Pixels in the movie theaters initially I thought I might want to see this movie because I grew up playing 80s video games. Then I saw Sandler and Kevin James were starring in it and my immediate reaction was "nope. not wasting my money."
