Is the animated version worth seeing?
Being a fan of all things cartoony (except really bad CGI) how good are these episodes and are they as noisy & irritating as one user claimed?

I found them very fun and entertaining.

I think they are suprisingly good. The stories and imagery are on are with Del Toro's vision. I was suprised at how good the stories were to tell you the truth.
For STDVD releases they are suprisingly good quality.
this one's very japanimation with the japanese monsters and other BS... I liked the other one much better in terms of story... here it's just a sequel of dream-like vignettes and very little story in between...
