Anybody like this movie?

I thought it was a really good movie plus I knew practically everybody in the movie which is what made me watch it anyway.

Yeah, the movie was incredible. One of the most original and unique films I've ever seen.

And 'salzn', the whole movie was written in rhyme, it wasn't really "rapping". To me it's just the Shakespeare of the modern day.

reply

yeah the movie was good but would have been better if just had straight dilouge?

reply

Nah, I think the rhyming added a whole new element to the film. It keeps the viewer engaged and entertained the whole 90 minutes.

There are really no dull spots in the movie because the dialogue helps it move along so quickly.

reply

The rhyming reminded me of Shakespeare's plays.
The flow was great!

With straight dialogue, it would have been a generic, waste of time ghetto movie like the type viewers outgrew in the late 90s. As a "hip-hopera", it has merit and is lots of fun to watch. It would be cool if Sticky made another one that actually had a budget and a less cliche story.

I liked it & I loved the idea. A Rap Opera.... Sticky Fingaz is talented!

..I was amazed.. I liked it.. it was better than expected.

..Think about it..

I thought they only did that for the trailer this has given me a new push to check this out. I think Michael Rapaport is one of the most likable actors in Hollywood he deserves a lot of credit he doesn't get.

Micheal Rapaport is "Special"

The lines are everything special in this film. I wish Sticky would leave the directing to someone else, though.

It was hilarious. This man kills half of LA in rap. And then goes to church for redemption. He is doing this only to get more money because he is going to be a father. Gee I hope this doesn't catch on. I guess we are suppose to think he is a good guy. You live long enough you get to see about everything. He has entirely too much time on his hands. But it was different. And it was better then those MTV versions of classics and that horrible Hip Hop Carmen. Someone should of shot the folks that came up with those pieces of garbage.
