Major Flaw in Final Episode... Spoilers

Why would Mike put his mother and Charlie up in a safe house with only one way in and out?.... No back door for escape in case something went wrong.

It doesn't seem very smart of Mike to leave them trapped with only one out.
HE wouldn't make that mistake to leave his mother so vulnerable.

anyone agree?

There was a back door - Jesse and Charlie went out that way after the explosion.

I thought they were at a hotel or someplace like that. Why did they not try the back door earlier?

They were surrounded no way out all exits blocked, Jesse and Charlie hid and used explosion as a distraction to flee while they were distracted with other concerns.

I caught the final episode on tv the other day and watched it again.

In regards to the scene in question, Jesse and Charlie did escape out the backdoor after the explosion and Jesse shooting two of the gunmen through the bathroom window.

However, at no point did the camera show the house surrounded. All of the gunmen were shown waiting out front, by the two cars, until they got the call from James. After the call, they moved in, including the two guys Jesse shot after the explosion.

I thought this when the episode first aired and still wonder why someone didn't call the Miami police department once the gunmen showed up? I'm not saying the police could've stopped the gunmen but they could have provided a hurdle or distraction for everyone to escape.
