Bruce Campbell

For a long time I hated him, after all The Evil Dead movies, I would pass on anything with him.

I am utterly surprised by his comic timing and depth. He has grown on me.

he was absolutely perfect for this role, i had not seen the evil dead movies, but i had seen him in earlier things and enjoyed that.

i am glad you gave the series a chance, it is my AL TIME favorite series!

Burn Notice was such a fun show. Bruce Campbell has always been a favorite since the evil dead movies and Brisco County Jr. Burn Notice is Bruce as a really solid actor, and it's carried over to Ash vs evil dead.

His schtick definitely grew on me as the series went on. It doesn't take itself too seriously, which I enjoyed.

I had never seen him in anything and fell in live with him as the series went on. Not a scfi or horror fan so I had no idea who he was. As with anything related to the last season it was a shame there was not more of him.

He was the central reason why I gave this show a chance. I was not a fan of MacGyver, or James Bond or most spy movies. But I wanted to check out Bruce in non cheesy sci-fi role and he hit a home run. But there's not much Bruce does I don't enjoy.

You know spies, bunch of bitchy little girls. Afterthat quote Bruce Campbell sold Same Axe as the man.

One aspect of Bruce's portrayal of "Sam" that didn't really hit me until I binge watched Seasons 1-5 for the third time was that, despite his general flakiness, he was actually the conscience of the show (as was Fiona to a lesser extent).
The first example of many that come to mind was when he stopped Michael from executing Tyler Gray.
