Futureweapons or Mail Call?

I choose Mail Call.

reply

Future Weapons has more action, but the host of Mail Call is Hilarious! I can't really decide which one I like more.

reply

mail call, by all means, at least R. Lee doesnt glamorize killing

reply

Very true ncblu66...and he glorifies the best branch of the U.S. Military...the MARINES! OO-RAH!

reply

Mail Call is by far better.....the Gunny kicks ass and doesn't come across as a douche....

And yes, he glorifies the Marines, but it is also cool to see how he gives the other branches their dues too......a great host....should give him Future Weapons too..... of course.......I don't think he could get the gay whisper down to handle the hosting duties of Future Weapons...

Nah, that's not R. Lee Ermey's style. He's not capable of being a quiet sissy douche. He's a loud, mean, weapon firing machine, and he MAKES you sit and watch. The other guy is just a wimpy loser.

Did you ever notice that whenever the movie "Platoon or "Full metal Jacket" comes on, the TV Guide says "Sadistic Marine Corp Drill Instructor" to describe Ermeys character? I was in the Air Force, and I did like those tough mouthed instructers, ala, Jack Webb in the movie "D.I.". I guess the guides writers must be women or sissified, no-military training softies.

By the way, we used a rifle in the Air Force that was call the gerand, I think, or was it an "M-1". It was rather short, and kicked the hell out of one's shoulder. Anyone have any information on that gun?

"sissified"????? did I say that? Sorry, no offense to Sissies.

The m-1 Garand was designed by a Canadian man (by the name of Garand) It copied the design of the German Mauser. The bullets were inserted into the magazine via a clip of (8?) rounds. You had to jam the clip in really fast and get your thumb out quick otherwise the sliding "door" for the spent cartridges would "bite" your thumb. That weapon fired a 30.6 round.

Mail call, more wealth of information. Not only the things coming out in the near future but things we've had in the past, even ancient times. R. Lee Ermy is the man too. I don't mind the Future Weapons host, but I wouldn't care if they got a replacement either. Michael Ironside would be cool.

You don't really have to slide the clip for the garand in fast. u just need to hold the bolt back while you are putting the clip in. There is a trick to do this with one hand if u put the bolt slide between your fingers and push the clip in with your thumb.

If you want to know about the old tech, mail call. Modern/future tech, ...Future weapons.

I find Future weapons to be overall more entertaining.
