What kind idiots were voting for the placement of the weapons on the "Top Ten" episode?

Also, I was wondering where the atomic bomb was? Am I missing a reason why it's not there or is it just by chance that it did not get voted for. Personally I can't think of a weapon that has changed the world more.

Well, I think it was excluding the nuke because it was so obvious. I mean, everyone knows how much it changed the world so it would be kind of boring to reiterate this again when we could be learning new things about conventional weapons.

I didn't see the episode but I could see the AK-47 being number 7 on the list. I mean so many groups use it. Terrorists, para-military groups, rebels, etc. It also only has about 8 moving parts if I remember correctly. Also it can withstand any environment and still work. Also it's very powerful as well as light.

The AK probably kills more than nukes ever got.

That's great for the AK-47. Unfortunately, it wasn't, "Top 10 Kills Countdown", it was a Top 10 for weapons that forever changed the world, both militarily and politically.

AK-47 should've been number one.

And I do think the Garand should've been higher as well.

Mack's list was a little soft though, if I do recall he let you see his on Discovery.com

WTF are you talking about.

The world's first true assault rifle.
Extremely simple, highly durable, cost effective design.
World's most-produced & liscenced firearm in the world (with 500 million units, counting all the cheap knockoffs, copies and derivatives).
It's had the most indirect influence on other firearms than any other modern assault rifle in the world. (Over 51 weapons have been based on it's design)
In official usage with 18 military forces in the world, probably 3 times that in unofficial usage.
Responsible for probably the same deathtoll WW2 caused and an iconic part of modern warfare.

It deserves the No. 1 spot imo....
