Why can't they show this programme to every school in the world, to every goverment of the world. why can't peoples do more to save our planet.

Hi, I agree with you completly. As a amateur naturalist/photographer for over 30yrs I have personally seen some dramatic changes to our flora and fauna. I think the recent enviromental reports have been under played a little which really scares me. The figures and projections released are bad enough but they didn't take in things like population increase. What happens if the rainforest burn and release 15yrs worth of CO2 in one season!!! The sibriean perma-frost melting releasing huge stores of methane (20x more damaging than CO2) ect, ect. Any of these effects could raise global temperates by 2-3% in a very short space of time and push the whole climate system into a fast run away effect. Of course none of these real issues can be tested as they haven't happened yet, that's why they weren't figured in any reports.
Genrally I'm a very optimistic person who really enjoys the World and people around me. But while we have are societies focased on war and terrorism by our corrupt goverments the enviroment will take second place. Education, thats REAL education has always been supressed and society are played THE MOVIE by the media of whats happening in the World while the few indivisuals who really have the power put a price tag on everything including our cival libities. The only way we can really save a beautiful planet is to take this corrupt power away with our votes. I hope the USA will get a completly new track of goverment in 2008, maybe then we may have a chance.

John Hodges
p.s I've been fortunate to meet Sir David Attenborough on a few occassions, he's my total inspiration and hero. I only wish he was 40yrs younger because I think the future needs him more than ever. The BBC should also send copies of Planet Earth and the Climate Crisis documentries free of charge to all our schools. I have written to the BBC about this but have had no reply. I suppose the price of education is to much!

In terms of survival of the fittest you will probably be the first to not adapt to the changes. Good luck with the crying.
