Why was this made?

A dreary film that promises a lot but delivers very little. At only 77 minutes, I think the producers ran out of cash and had to wind things up in a hurry.

The best thing about the film is the sublime Isild Le Besco, whose mother tells her that her biological father is an Indian (as in India), whom she met on the banks of the Ganges. No problem. She gives up a plum acting job and goes to a country of 1.2 billion people, most of whom have been to the banks of the Ganges, to find daddy. All this despite the obvious fact that she doesn't look like she has a millilitre of Indian blood in her system. She looks pure white-bread French. Egads. The things filmmakers will come up with to try to get us to suspend disbelief. Anyway, Le Besco's smooth, sexy body and simpering face are most appealing, at least to me.

I suggest watching Saturday morning cartoons as an alternative.
