I just realized...
...that they got Anima and Animus mixed up. Anima is female and Animus male so either chaos should've been female or the Animus instead of Anima.
shareI think the series was just using the term Anima as a general subconscious, rather than anima (the female aspect of the male unconscious) and animus (the male aspect of the female unconscious.
