When Abel's Ark came out - the universe started to disappear.... why?
I can only think of because the subconscious of the living (including planets) was "freaked" out (remember how people would die after excessive exposure to U-DO) and dissolved???
Can someone clarify this? Also - does this mean that everything that disappeared because of Abel's Ark is dead?
When the Ark appeared when Shion called it, it began to resonate with the will of humanity. There were so many wills that wanted the world to end that the Ark started sending waves through the UMN that caused the mass disappearances.
The reason that the universe started to disappear in the ending was because of the Gnosis. The Gnosis were going out of control and caused a small scale universal dissipation. The area that disappeared was roughly 80% of Federation territory. Wilhelm made sure that one UMN Column was still active. It took the Dammerung and Elsa to the same galaxy as Lost Jerusalem.
Abel's Ark isn't dead. Abel's Ark is just the way U-DO is perceived when it is observing the Imaginary Number Domain. Nothing can destroy U-DO.
