just looking at the xenosaga page i found out that black testament Voyager is Shions' father. thanks.

yeah, now that i've actually played the game i feel stupid. not even close. sweet game though. the xenosaga series definetly improved as it went. i would kill for a xenogears remake. even though it will never happen. gears is the best by far out of the 4.

The actor who voices both Shion's father and Voyager is the same, however, this doesn't mean that they are the same character.

It is rather common that one actor makes the voice over for several characters in video games.

What is Xenosaga gears?

Xenogears was a PS1 game developed by the same creative team as Xenosaga but under the production of Square.

Many people (included myself) consider Xenogears as the best RPG in history. Sadly, Tetsuya Takahashi, the guy responsible for both Xenogears and Xenosaga had problems with Square and he quitted to go to Namco. This is where he developed Xenosaga, with very similar elements as he used in Xenogears, to the point in which at first people thougth it was a prequel, but in reality, since Square has the copyrigths for Xenogears, an official prequel can not be done in another company.

There aer hundreds of references to Xenogears in Xenosaga, more like a tribute than anything else, and like the other poster said, it is very unlikely that we will ever see a remake for that game =/

It is very sad, Squaresoft was one of the best companies when it came to RPG's, but ever since they merged with Enix, it has been terrible, they keep abusing the FF franchise pretty badly to the point in which we are too oversaturated and getting tired of it, and geniuses like Nobuo, Hironobu and Takahashi have left the company to explore new horizons.

Very sad T_T
