I developed a ringing in my ears a few years ago, seemingly out of nowhere... I'm only 19 now. Wear earplugs... after a few loud events mine is a lot worse.

That's one helluva movie. I've suffered from tinnitus for a few years now. I broke down and cried for a little too long when this movie ended.

my mum suffers from tinnitus, and i watched this movie with her. once i started hearing the noise i couldn't stop crying because i finally realised what my mum has to go through! i could never deal with an ongoing noise like that.
it terrifies me.

i've had tinnitus in my right ear for 11 years now and it blows. as mentioned before, i don't think people really understand what it involves. i haven't seen this film yet, but i will give it a chance soon enough.

maybe it's because mine is only intermittent it doesn't really bother me - I get the high-pitched 'nnnnnnnnnn' sound, and sometimes a more kind of hollow white noise sound (it's really hard to describe).

it usually happens for longest when I'm overtired, but sometimes I get it randomly through the day for a short time.

can't remember when it started - in my mid-teens, maybe? I'm early 40s now, and it hasn't got better, or worse.

I loved the film - very thought-provoking, and the lovely dialogue and vignettes of daily life. the plot and the symbolism all worked for me - not too obvious, not too obscure. and of course great performances and cinematography.

At the end o the film, the very end of the credits, they put a very light ringing sound. I still had my headphones on, and froze in a cold sweat before I realized what was going on.
