Brendan Cowell

I thought he was bloody fantastic. I've been impressed with him ever since I saw him on the brilliant Love My Way (of which he also partly wrote). He was such a convinsing tortured sole. Underplayed a major role to great effect. Good job mate.

I thought it was a great feature role for him, in more than the obvious respects. I knew him first as Todd in Life Support, and I must say it would have been jarring had I seen him in a different film, as the comical larikin identity that he had in that would have put me a little on edge. I am glad Matthew Saville made a movie that worked so well with the Australian vernacular and Australian ideosyncrasies to allow Cowell to steadily transcend his earlier work. With this film I know think that he can (and ought to) go on to do more fantastic movies, maybe even on an international stage.

Certainly the strongest actor in the cast. He did play it really well.

Oh Brendan...I would so hit that.

I think he is one of the most brilliant actors we have. I am always so impressed with him and his acting. And he was hilarious in Life Support! Oh and he is definitely one of the sexiest men walking the earth. He has such magnetism. So much sex appeal. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

But really, I am always moved by his acting, I cannot say that many actors affect me like he does.

He is very, very good in this - but as others have said, he was boss in Life Support and Love My Way too so I shouldn't be surprised that he carried off the lead role so confidently.

He has a place here in America, I'm quite sure of that. Watching him reminds me of how I felt during the emerging Russell Crowe years (ie.,Proof, Romper Stomper.) He has a similar masculine intensity. Bring him over!

Brilliant actor. I'd never seen him before but I couldn't take my eyes off him in this movie. For me, the suspense was in wondering how his character would react to each situation. I love his minimal but still highly expressive way of acting.
