I'll let you all know what it's like when I've watched it a few times :)

Damn I'm so jealous since I'll have to wait like... less than twelve hours to go out to the store and buy it. Man, I wish I was as awesome as you. Can I call you Mr. Awesome? I'm going to call you Mr. Awesome since you're just that awesome.

I have no idea if that was sarcasm or not; doesn't work on the internet.

Anyway, it really won't disappoint, apart from three things. Neither are particularly major, but they still irk me.
- There was no real 'revelation', but then again there was no real 'prophecy' in Prophecy.
- Nue retains his human voice in Mikura form, which sounds absolutely ridiculous.
- Homura (the gungho female Karas who is never allowed to transform) in Karas form has sharp pointy nipples. Utterly unnecessary and rather disappointing when considered along with the pantyshot fanservice earlier in Revelation.

The end battle, to be honest, is a little bit of a letdown too, but it's alright when you remember that current Western views of an 'ideal' end battle are based on American film and game :)

CAUTION: SPOILERS

I just got my copy today and I have to say it was worth every penny. I agree that the last fight was not as good as I had hoped it to be. It took a VERY long time for Karas to appear and when it was all said and done, there wasn't enough martial arts or sword play (which I loved about part 1 especially the first Karas fight).

The spider chic has a pitiful end and Echo dies without you even seeing how he really dies...I was hoping for him to go out in a really extravagant end, but it was way too short and more artistic end rather than a brutal end that he deserved.

Regardless of those flaws, the movie was really beautiful and quite more flashier than part 1. The violence is definitely x 2 in this movie and there is also nice closure in Otaha's character (his brutal and disturbingly incestful past) as well as Nue's.

Also there is a little 'extra' at the end of the credits that you shouldn't miss out on.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I bought it too

Did anyone else find the CGI for two characters (in particular, that weird dragon thing at the end which was utterly a piece of crap and that weird guy who went on a rampage eating everyone) utterly HORRIBLE? I couldn't believe it it completely killed the mood for the scenes with them in it, especially the dragon thing. Other than that it was a fairly decent film though

Ok so I have seen both and watched it subbed (which I think is the best way) and I never caught anything that was said about him being born from an incestual relationship. The only thing they said was that he was a monster who did not feel pain and that his mom died during birth.
So where is everyone getting this incest thing?
What did I miss?

Damnit Stormy what time is it?
I said it's Dodgeball time, bitch!

In Revelation where he saves his friends and they begin to walk out, his friend gets shot in the head, soon after that you catch Otoha calling his brother Father and how his Brother/Dad had concieved him with his own mother o.o

I found both films to be absolutely awesome. Anime tends to be too "artsy" for its own good. This was just balls-to-the-wall action! Very nicely done.
