Best English dub anime I have ever seen...

I never watch the American dubbed versions of Japanese anime films, cause I would prefer to watch them with the true vocal emotion they were created in, and it feels like the actors that do the dubs don’t put the true effort in them that they could. Kind of like, “it’s “cartoon”, so why give a great performance?”. After watching it using the English sub-titles, and being there were known American actors/actresses doing the voiceovers, the actual film blew me away, so the next day I gave the English version a shot. I must say, this was the best English dubbed film I have ever seen. Of course in a film such as this, where the eye candy is done so well, you don’t want to miss any of it have to read all the subtitles. To all the non-Japanese speaking viewers that feel the same way about English dubbed films, I would highly recommend watching the English dubbed version, so you can enjoy all the superbly done hybrid of anime and CGI.

There's tons of well dubbed shows these days. It's not that exceptional nor has it been for quite a few years now.

reply

Howl's Moving Castle had excellent dubbing.

Wow. I didn't think there were people out there who haven't seen Cowboy Bebop yet. Cuz' you know, that set the trend as far as what a good dub should be.

you cant argue/debate somones taste...it's the most subjective thing possible...everyone views the world w/a different filter based on their experiences to that point...so to argue someones preference is impossible

Matthew Lillard was PAINFUL. It hurt to listen to him as Eko. It was just bad. And distracting.

I agree! I think Mary Elizabeth as Motoko is just about some of the most perfect voice casting ever. Ever.
