did anyone else love the prophecy and hate revelations?
is it just me or did the characters, direction style, quality of animation, and script of revelation seemed seemed really lacking and poor compared to the first karas?
shareI'm with you on that. The reveal of Otoha's personal life and backstory was a bit of a letdown for me, the action scenes weren't as kickass as in "The Prophecy", and it all boiled down to little more than gore porn at the end.
And there was no resolve at the end either; Eko's whole motivation was because humans forgot about the yokai and supernatural spirits, and that caused them to lose their power and wither away. After Tokyo gets destroyed, the humans haven't learned anything at all, despite hundreds/thousands of deaths and millions in property damage.
I can't even say I "love" The Prophecy; I found that one to be subpar outside of the action sequences. But after I read up on it on the Internet and message boards to fill in the blanks that the movie did not and saw it a few more times, it wasn't so bad.
