ds has got some great games but the hardware is so .... old, you cant do anything else than gaming and browsing net, but psp has got great display, promising hardware- the games are looking better and better, you can use it as a multimedia player... you can watch tv on it, the internet is dissing due to lack of touch screen, but all in all its packing much more wider variety of features and usability and with good games (god of war, final fantasyxxx), it can beat DS and will i think last longer than DS. I just dont get why they didnt put touch screen into it...

both systems are very good systems. the ds is from nintendo which is geared towards more hands on, basic things, usually for the minds of 5 year olds. the psp is more advanced in graphics/hardware design, and is geared for older aged people usually around 14-30+. both can do many similar things if they're modded. the psp has slower load times, but makes up for it in most games with it's gameplay. crisis core is an amazing game, with not very long load times, compared to a ps2. i personally rather wait a longer time, and enjoy my game, then get shown that there is no load zones, and have a lack of game play (thaw)

i just can't help but wonder why for psp? i know it's also for ps3 and xbox 360 but, no ps2? it's not a dead system...yet.

No, it's...It's pretty dead. Once 360 and PS3 launched, their predecessors died.
