Continuity question....

I realize this is a minor issue; but it confused me the first time I watched it through. I thought I might have missed a character somewhere.


Virgil (the TV presenter) is shown in what looks like the hallway of a residential building (where the kid throws down the firecracker). The movie cuts away to something else. Then we rejoin Virgil at what looks like the TV station (the scenes with the band playing the 'Latino' music and his telling the cameraman to use a tripod). Then we see him inside an apartment with (I think) his mistress and he's not wearing the suit anymore. He's wearing a polo shirt. It seems logical that that should have followed right after the scene in what I think was the hallway of the apartment building where his mistress's apartment is. Then we watch Virgil go and get the guests and drives back to the station with them. And he's in the suit again. I could imagine he'd stop at his mistress's apartment before picking up the panelists; but then the scene in the hallway wouldn't have been before his first appearance at the station.
