1/10 (could've been 0). Here's why:

I've heard many comparisons between TOOTH FAIRY and THE GAME PLAN. You shouldn't do that. That one was actually good, while this one was doomed from the start because of its stupid premise. Maybe Dwayne Johnson knows the difference between the 2 of them, because he doesn't shine in the dramatic moments here as much as he did in that movie. Stephen Merchant doesn't shine either, but the 2 have good chemistry. Meanwhile, Ryan Sheckler's performance is bland. Believe it or not, there is something worse than waking up and not finding money under your pillow. You know what? Kids movies with black and white messages. This movie takes place in some parallel universe where everyone is either bitter for not believing that dreams come true or naive for believing that anything can happen. People (not just children) need dreams, but dreams that depend on the dreamer's ability to make them happen. Here, hockey player DEREK THOMPSON is asked by his girlfriend's son RANDY "Do you think I can be a rock star when I grow up?" He hesitates, because he was told not to crush little children's dreams... even though RANDY is 13. Anyway, what he asked isn't ideal. It is possible to become a famous musician but it's not up to him, so he should dream of becoming a good musician. The best musician he can be, even if nobody hears of him. At the end, LILY (the head fairy) erases DEREK memory. Ummm... Why make him forget the lesson he learned? When DEREK does the world's worst proposal to his girlfriend CARLY, he whispers something to TESS, the latter's daughter. I had to rewind it to discover that he said "We're getting married," because he said it so low that I swear to God I thought he said "Katy Perry." I was like "What? Oh, because of TESS' makeover? He's telling her that she looks beautiful?"
