Should I show this version or the 1961 version to my class

They're studying the play in my American lit class. These students are college-aged, mostly freshmen and sophomores. I've rewatched both adaptations back-to-back and I can't decide which version to show them.

The 1960 Sidney Poitier version WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Agreed.
I'm in college now and unfortunately no one in my class likes black and white movies or even know Sidney Poiter is. :'(

So we're watching the Diddy version. It takes a few too many liberties

Isn't that partly what school is about: exposing students to stuff they wouldn't seek out on their own?

Sidney Poitier's version. His frustration when he finds out Willy took the money and ran is worth the entire movie with Diddy.
