Thought Tate was great.. movie was a mess

IMO- this movie was a mess. Mumbley (a word?) and all over the place.
Im 30 something, so too young to be part of the Beat generation, though I love movies based on real people.. especialy train wrecks. ( I guess it makes me feel better about my own train wreck life..lol)

Any way, I was hoping for more insite into that what was Neal Cassaday, Ken Kessey, Jack Kirouac, etc. I was more confused after watching.

But Tate did a great acting job.
