Unlisted Cast Member for McBride: Semper Fi

Anybody know who is the actor who plays Kaia Rourke's father?

I used to watch his TV series, forgot his name. Can't quite place him.

I found it - Ben Murphy, best known to me for his role in Alias Smith and Jones. Looking pretty good and very fit and trim.

He was also in a few episodes of JAG; an old love interest of Mac's.

Who plays the neighbor lady, Mrs. Jackson?

She's not listed at all in the cast, but she's so familiar as a character actress. The character mentioned watching "Touched by an Angel" in her court testimony, and she looks like she could be closely related to Della Reese, but it's not Della. Possible clue?

I think it was Jackie Richardson. Remember her from a Monk ep.

Wow! Thanks, Greyling5!

Jackie Richardson played the insurance scammer who was playing "blind" in "Mr. Monk and the Red-Headed Stranger" (who was, of course, Willie Nelson!), and she was also Martha, one of Ray Romano's "posse" at the hardware store in "Welcome to Mooseport."

Yes, I knew I recognized her. Great character actress!

And I'd love to see her do something with Della Reese, where they play sisters or cousins. I tried them together in the "joint ventures" category to see if they had, but not so far. Maybe one of these days!

Thanks again!

Actually, the actress who played Glynnis Jackson is named Esther Scott. Amazingly wonderful character actress, and we were blessed to have her in the movie.

littlegoldmen: I think you're thinking of a different Monk episode. Jackie R was in the Monk ep with Willie Nelson. That was soooo funny.

Monk had the streaker run past the blind lady (JR) to see if she was really blind or not. Tastefully done, too. Nice to see some producers still have a sense of modesty and decorum.

I was only referring to Semper Fi (that actress being Esther Scott); I don't watch Monk.
