So is it a true story?

I'm a bit confused. The marketing on this film really wants to tie it to the "true story of Andrea Williams". We're supposed to assume that "Ana Willis" is "Andrea Williams".

So, is this film a portrayal of the events of Andrea's life? Or are they just using her story to market this film?

The real Andrea Williams was turned into the character Ana Willis for the movie. Usually, when a movie is based on someone's life, they market it as "based on life of" or "inspired by life of" so they don't have to stick to the facts of someone's life.

Adapting reality to a movie usually mean editing how things really happened. Like people's real names.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
