Did anyone else think....? *spoilers*

That the events of the movie could have very easily been prevented/the father's claims believed if he'd invested in a house security system? Had Joshua been my son (and with the lies he fed the child psychologist), my first stop would have been a camera/surveillance store while he was at school during the day and then setting up hidden cameras all over the house with video/audio. Joshua had no qualms being stupid enough to a) record himself shaking his sister and b) act deranged when he was alone with his father. A few hours worth of recorded proof of his obvious psychotic/sociopathic tendencies may have turned things more in the father's favor.
