Heartbreaking!

Great movie... but did anyone else start to think that Bill was almost cursing himself? Especially when he says something along the lines of "the game could turn itself off in 10 minutes", and 10 minutes later... the game turns itself off!

Every time he opened his mouth about things possibly going wrong, I would cringe, and actually found myself yelling at the TV. Also, the ending is one of the most random, unexpected things I've ever seen. I suppose for a documentary about a mans' continued effort that always seems to fail, it was best to end it as upbeat as possible... but it was still quite random.

Me too was wondering why his machines kept resetting all the time.

Tried to follow some threads on the TwinGalaxies-board after seeing the movie.
I'm not sure, but there might be a bug that makes the reset happen from time to time, they just haven't located it completely yet.
Or maybe they have and I didn't find the right thread.
Or maybe there is no bug and it's just random.

But there are atleast 2 known bugs in the game called the 255/256-screen-bug and the 810k-point-bug.

Anyway.. .
If there is a known bug then the scores from the early 80s seems to be a LOT of pure luck! And really strange that nobody remembers from back in the day that the game kept resetting. Hmm??
