HALLOWS POINT: a sequel in the works?
Yes, there's a rumor that a sequel to HALLOWS POINT is in development. The movie is likely to prompt a franchise (some "insiders" who screened the dailies described the film--and I quote--as "awesomely scary", "handsomely mounted", "chilling", et al). "Nathanial Raber," the film's bogeyman, may eclipse the likes of a tired Jason. Check-out the production history at http://www.evildread.com/interviews/billgeorge_hallowspoint.php The actresses are deliciously tempestuous, including Christa Campbell (an iconic presence in modern horror films), Angela Austin (tap into the HALLOWS POINT "Press Room," www.hallowspoint.com) and Alexxus Young (www.scifidiva.com). Most of the laudatory comments have been deservedly reserved for director Jeffrey Lynn Ward: B-film addicts are very cognizant that Ward is impassioned with horror movies (I suspect that HALLOWS POINT is Ward's homage to the genre). In regard to a release date, the debut of HALLOWS POINT may be imminent; Tarot cards, matching the film's occult props, were distributed--last weekend--at the Monstermania convention (apparently, more Tarot cards will given away at next weekend's Horrorfind convention). I'm supportive because HALLOWS POINT is not a horror film cranked-out for a quick buck; in lieu of cheap gore, the buzz describes the movie as a "genuinely scary" (suspense is a challenge; gore--a desperation tactic--is the province of untalented filmmakers).
