The characters were so unrealistic.. A boat of 4 people vs 1 person and you wouldn't even dare make a sign or show in a way you're in danger . That scene was so unrealistic! The guy wasn't even armed and worst case the husband could have gotten killed or badly injured an her son could have lived. The rewind scene was actually rather really vague and pretentious as hell..

I think this movie was supposed to symbolize the passiveness and impending doom of the Farber family. This movie represents the quote "survival of the fittest". The Farber family weren't determined enough to stay alive and fight.
shareI agree. I think the movie's point was to. see how far the audience could be pushed in contempt/frustration/disbelief towards the Farbers. If that was the goal...it worked on us.
