Imagine Event Horizon and Dead Calm put through the blender ; this is the mess that would come out. Amateurish by turns, overacting aplenty, a screenplay that was written by someone who believes emotions like fear and anger and "evil" can be best portrayed with lots and lots of swearing. I can't think of a less unpleasant cinematic experience. A good horror film this is not ; avoid it like the plague.

I'm wondering what those accents were supposed to be. It's like someone told a couple of average actors to speak with "American accents". But there is no such thing as an "American Accent", just many many regional accents from North America. Its just so massively embarrassing, for the actors and the NZ film industry!
Please banish the New Zealand Film Commission.
Accents were maybe a bit ropey but the NZFC make good stuff and this is one of them. I liked it a lot, especially the scene where the yank walks up on deck after turning drinking wine in slow motion and decks big dave. Amazing scene.
