how did that guy kill himself?

in the beginning, when he first gets the job he notices that someone committed suicide. i thought it was impossible to die in that world? did he come back to life or something?

It was a confusing scene because the guy impaled on the fence didn't show any sign of life. But we learn from what happens to the main character that death is impossible. So we have to presume that Fence Jumper was taken down and driven around in one of those funky electric vans until he recovered.

I've since read the rest of the posts about this movie and Andreas saw the suicide guy at work the next day, so he didn't die.

i was looking out for the suicide guy when andreas went to work the next day but i didn't spot him, i thought it would've been more obvious to make it more clear that death was unescapable but as this was before the subway train scene maybe they didn't want it to be clear yet as the train scene wouldn't have been that shocking then.

This is going to sound horrible, but I truly could not tell the difference between the blond men! I'm sorry--I'm from NM where there is "wondrous diversity"--so all the blond men looked the same to me. Perhaps purposeful? I did think later, tho, when Andreas became rather zombie-fied himself, that the suicide guy must have turned up later and I just didn't recognize him.
