I just saw this at the TOronto Film Festival.
I enjoyed this film and a user review was a perfect synopsis. Overall I enjoyed the visual style, inwhich the film was very dull, to give you a sense of how it feels to have a loss of vision and very vibrant when seeing the world through the eyes of your imagination. I enjoyed that and really enjoyed the ending.
Great film.
I saw this at TIFF as well and it was one of the highlights, if not my favorite film. I am severely disappointed however that at the very end when the screen was completely dark, the house lights in the theater went on and people started to leave the theater. We all had to be yelled at that the movie wasn't over and that the houselights were not supposed to have been turned on. It kind of ruined the mood of the ending because I was COMPLETELY into it... But oh well, a fantastic movie anyway.
shareSaw it at The Dark Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) in Estonia and was utterly amazed. Went to see the film on a whim, I felt I needed something sweet and easy, and although it wasn't exactly what it was (on the easy part), it managed to suck me in and twist me around. The visual side was absolutely superb, the colours, the scenery, and of course, I think the actors ought be mentioned aswell, for they did an amazing job!
I left the movie hall entranced.

does the dvd have english subtitles?
sharesaw it@ CIFF [cleveland]. i loved the ending too--it would have been too much to show them together at the end. i like how it's left open to the imagination.
