Hugh Laurie

Other than their nomination in the category of "Outstanding Drama Series", House didn't have any other bids in any other category. Hugh Laurie should have been at least nominated for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series", as his character and abilities are far superior to anyone else nominated in the category, especially Kiefer Sutherland.

Yea. Hugh has got such a differcult job. It's so bizzare that he didn't even get nominated, especially since House was nominated, and the main thing that made the series nominated is Hugh.

I disagree with the Kiefer comment. They are both great actors, but Kiefer has the more differcult job of the two. Action has always been the hardest to perform. Kiefer has deserved this for ages. But everyone else I think was not to par to Hugh though.

I think that Hugh Laurie can win any award without even moving a single muscle. I adore him and I was very dissapointed to see that he didn't get nominated. Oh well, that's life!

True, and I always got mad in the past when Spader won. But if Laurie, Gandolfini, Sutherland, Chiklis, Leary, or even Olmos from Battlestar Galactica (and Ian McShane, who wasn't eligible this year) win Emmys, I can't complain. I didn't think Sheen or Meloni should have been nominated. Haven't seen enough of Krause to judge. But, honestly, Kiefer has been amazing on 24. How else do you think he made an "action hero" (and I put it in quotes, because people who don't watch 24 knock Jack Bauer for just being an action hero, when he is so much more than that) into an Emmy-worthy character? And how did he become the sentimental, overdue favorite (even more than Sheen) when he was the youngest of all the nominees? He's amazing.

He's got a Golden Globe, two Screen Actors Guild awards, and an Emmy. Plus he's won some international awards as well.

Next year I bet Laurie wins, but don't knock the K-Dog. He's worthy of his $13 million a year... and Fox pays him more than they pay Laurie, even though House has a larger audience in the U.S. So they must think he's damn good.

You could say the same about Lost. It won last year for Outstanding Drama, but wasn't nominated this year. All it got was a directed episode, a writer episode, and special male guest star in a drama. They won nothing. I agree that a lot of shows didn't get nominations they deserved. I've seen Hugh Laurie on some episodes and he's great, but I still think that since 24 is winding down, Kiefer deserves it. It was a good season this year and he deserved it.
