What would season 4 have been like if the show had not been canceled?

I was reading a quote from one of the show runners that said'

'We’re not too concerned about the hiatus in the way we were [when the show was dropped at the end of series three] when it really was an awful shock. It was completely out of the blue and ruined all our plans to do various things.'

What do you think they might have had planned?

I'm confused...this was posted this year but series 5 came out last year? I just finished watching the entire show of what's around myself but how can we predict what might have been planned when series 4 (according to your posted topic) already has been aired? Series 5 also has been aired. I'm just a bit confused, it may be nothing but I'm curious.

Well, I was referring to the fact that the show was cancelled after series 3. Which is how they lost the actor who played Danny for instance. Then another network picked it up but moved the filming to Ireland which is how they lost the actress who was playing Sarah (she didn't want to film in Ireland because of her son). So a lot of changes were caused by the show being cancelled even though it was picked back up again eventually. And the quote in the OP, makes it sound like the creators had to change plot lines because of these changes.

So I was wondering how people thought the show might have gone had none of that happened, had Danny and Sarah stayed etc. I mean Sarah's whole 'I have a plan...' at the end of season 3, when discussing how to get back Conner, Abby and Danny makes it sound like to be the time jump of the year might not have happened.

Danny was a loss. He really added something to the show. But I frankly wish they has trash canned the whole storyline with the idiot who turned out to be Danny's lost brother. Total waste of time.

Sarah kind of lost her usefulness when they stopped the chasing Helen and foiling her plans storyline and ended with the fighting with Christine over the octagon projector storyline. I really don't see her presence having added anything to the fourth and fifth season story lines.

And she might have had a plan but to channel Lester, she obviously she didn't have a very good plan.

I didn't really miss her and if she hadn't left we might have missed her playing a really hot villain on the Sarah Jane Adventures.
