What ever happened to Sarah? It seemed like she was on the team one moment (end of Season 3) and the next moment (beginning of Season 4) she's gone. I think I recall someone starting to say what happened to her but they don't really get to fully explain. It was kind of weird, really.

I also found it very strange that she was just gone.
Becker says she died at one point and Abby asks for her when she comes back from whenever it was her and Connor were stuck, but they don't get into it more than that.
It's equally frustrating that they just seem to forget about Danny after the first episode and never mention him again.

They explained why he left at the time. He went after his brother, who had fled into an anomaly, but it is strange that his name is seemingly forgotten. I think it is evidence that the writers were thinking ahead, perhaps toward future seasons.
