Who is your favorite character and why?

Mine's Connor. He's super cute/handsome and funny. Plus I like how he wears his emotions on his sleeve, especially for Abby.

Likewise. :D He's really quite a sweetheart, and so brilliant! He and Cutter are responsible for practically every breakthrough the ARC's ever had, and that's saying a lot. I loved their reluctant-mentor/eager-student bond, and ooh how I cried when Helen (wench that she was) did what she did. Abby's also fantastic- a little too much stubborn pride, but she kicks butt all the same. I wish Sarah had been around longer... I really liked her. Danny rocks on with his maverick self, ignoring rules left, right and center so as to get the job done. Matt's intriguing, and I really hope they continue this series and explain what that cliffhanger regarding their future/his "present" means.

Agreed on Connor..He was the heart of the show

Add me to the Connor Club. He had a great character arc.

I'm just upset he is stuck in our time now that Project Magnet is not letting him go home to his time. I just hope one of the series gets to resolve this problem.

As a liberal AND a Parris Island 4th Battalion Grad I don't want to hear anything from either camp!

My favorite character has always been Connor, but besides him it would have to be Helen, or Jess.

I like Connor too! He's certainly popular on this board. I find him amusing and genuine. I also liked Cutter, it was a great shame when he left the show, particularly as he was set up as the main character. It was never the same without him.

SPOILERS!

I have a bit of a say on most characters, so here we go:

I was a bit shocked at the beginning of season 4, when some new characters were just randomly thrown in there, but surprisingly both Jess and Matt went straight to my heart quite fast.

Of course I've always liked Connor, but in the first season he is kind of irritating and messes everything up. That's his thing though, so it's okay.
What bothered me alot though, was that after he came back from the cretaceous period with Abby, he showed a darker, more mature side of himself, which I loved and that stuck on til' the episode where he teamed up with Duncan, just to disappear completely in the next episode, where he is back to his old manboy self again.
It's very frustrating since Abby has noticeably went through alot of changes during that time.

I cheered a bit when Danny came back to stay, since my initial thought about him was "Why on earth would they create such a complex character with so much depth for just one episode?".
I didn't cry when he left though...

As for Sarah she never really got the chance to develop into a real member of the team. I'm pretty sure they were going to give her more space, but unfortunatley she left before they could, which made her kind of a pointless character, even if I liked her alot.

Abby is great too, but I think I'm more into the Connor/Abby thing than Abby herself.
Also when I first saw the show I recognized her as Hannah from S Club, which of course made me like her.

Of course I love Becker, because my god, that guy is gorgeous!
And I really gotta say Lester grows on you.

I liked Claudia as well, and eventually Jenny, even though she was a bitch at first. Never really got what happened though... All of a sudden she was just changed.

I haven't quite finished season 4 yet(I know, I'm a bit slow), but i find Emily really sweet. Kind of a girl crush thing there. Hope they don't mess her up too much.

___

Cutter was a great leading man with a story to tell, but I didn't care for him so much and after his departure the show actually got alot better, because they were able to move on with the plot.

Never liked Stephen. Never got the hang of him. His job was to look good, which I can't really say he did.

Helen was supposed to be the crazy bitch, and she was, but at the same time I didn't really get the hang of her. She wasn't the ultimate bad guy so to speak.

And Leek. Oh my gosh, I love Leek!!! Can hardly remember the character, but just the fact that his name is Leek when he's the bad guy... Genius!

Two years later I have to say the one who really stole my heart was Becker.
A bit trigger happy and action hero-ish, but at the same time he was probably the most sensitive character of the show and he would really do anything for his friends.

Danny Quinn is one of the best TV characters I've seen. (spoiler) While I was sad they got rid of half the cast in season 3, the episodes with Jason Flemyng were really great. Also thought the 4th series ended on a high note because he came back

Lester. He is possibly my favorite TV character ever, not just on Primeval.
