From South Maryland! What a crock!

I recently watched this show and just like the first 2 thought it was hilarious. After it was over I was going through the special features and was watching the "behind the scenes." Two girls came up and said that they were rednecks cause they were from south Maryland. In their words... "if you have to get out of the way of a horse and buggy then you are a redneck." I hate to tell her but that is not being a redneck. In my opinion she has never to the deep south. Not south maryland but the southern states. Where some of those things that these 4 talk about actually happen. You can hate me for saying that these 2 girls are morons or agree with me, I dont care. I know what it's like to live in an area where true "rednecks" live.

Actually its true. I do live in Southern MD and I know its redneck country when a professional car salesman says "thingemabobby".

"thingemabobby"? That is a common expression used when you don't know what something is. I live in Ohio, which is deffinately not a Redneck State and we use the phrase "thingemabobby". Please don't say that the phrase "thingemabobby" makes you a Redneck. If you do that, I might as well say anyone who says "Top of the mornin'" has to be Irish. As if it's not bad enough that Stereotyping exists, you decide to stereotype phrases to a certain type of people. Again, like I said I am from Ohio and I know alot of people who quote and say stuff rappers, like "Bitches Ain't *beep* but that doesn't mean that they reside in the Ghetto or formulate to what exactly that rapper is talking about.

But, either way you look at it. Everyone can be a redneck, you don't have to be from the Southern states to be a redneck. Just like you could do one of the things that Jeff Foxworthy says "You might be a redneckif..." and NOT be a redneck. It is all just a matter of Opinion.

I completely Agree with you. Obviously some so-called "big fans" didn't really pay much attention to their previous comedy movies, shows, or CD's.

I've traveled and lived all over this country. Everywhere from so-cal to amish country pennsylvania. You are right that there are rednecks everywhere. I'm not arguing with you there. But being that I'm originally from the south I would have to say that the majority of "rednecks" live in the deep south. The so called "bible belt." Also a lot of the "you might be a redneck if..." jokes actually apply to more people in the south than anywhere else I've been.

Well, hence the fact that you've got atrocious grammer, I'd have to say that you, yourself, are a true redneck. Don't be ashamed, I've got them in my family too. By the way, sorry for calling you stuck up. Kind of hard to hide from what you truly are, huh? By the way, in case you're wondering, if I was a redneck, yeah, I can say I am, but, I'm not the sterotypical kind, such as yourself!
